Mostly Investment Books, some motivational, and not all read to be honest....
How? I am a believer in long term, value+growth investing the Warren Buffet Way!
a business you understand, favourable long-term economics, able and trustworthy management, and a sensible price tag". That's investment, everything else is speculation.
Four things which count when investing for Warren B - "A business you understand, favourable long-term economics, able and trustworthy management, and a sensible price tag". That's investment, everything else is speculation.
That's the view I want to try and take to grow my portfolio and generate some passive income via dividends as well.
Being only 24, I shall allocate my portfolio buckets as follows:
50% - Large Cap
30% - Medium/Small Cap
20% - Small Cap/Risky Picks.
I am not a big fan of the views of technical analysis and trading as above, it's all speculation! Investing is a marathon not a sprint.
Also a word of caution for all - Becareful of who you ask for advice for. Is there something in it for the person offering the advice - A commission perhaps? Well, I'll be honest for me there's ad revenue of course! >.<
But honestly, I intend to use this blog as a platform to exchange ideas and put into practice some of things I have learnt along the way.
I am also aiming to sit for the 1st Paper of the CFA (Chartered Finance Analyst) end of Dec 2011. I am also keeping an eye on other investments like property and business opportunities.
So, come follow me on my journey and drop me a line to make it more interesting and let's exchange some ideas.
